Hopewell Virtual Summer Summit
Spirituality and the Healing Process with Mental Health Disorders
Candace Carlton, LISW-S
When: August 24, 11:00-12:00
Social workers and clinicians have embodied a set of values and ethics that should optimize the health and wellbeing of clients and assist them in working towards empowerment. This webinar will review and discuss the importance of assessing clients and their spiritual beliefs, from the intake process, assessment, individual service plans and discharge. There will also be review and discussion of theories, research, and resources. There is much research and evidence that shows that clients and their spiritual beliefs and practices can be beneficial in their recovery process.
This training will be conducted as a Zoom webinar; however, participants should be prepared to engage in discussion, activities, and breakout groups. Video and microphone availability will be needed to fully engage in the training.
